Juverderm Vs. Botox: Which Is Better?

There are times when we here at USHR Spa get questions about the differences between Botox and Juvederm. Often, people mistake the two as being identical and having no measureable differences. They perceive them as they would two competing companies who market their product as being superior to the other.

When looking at the two products side-by-side we must explain what their purpose is, how they differ, and which is best for the individual receiving the injections. In some circumstances the patient will find a combination of Botox and Juvederm is their best possible option.

Botox helps to remove wrinkles by weakening or paralyzing unnecessary facial muscles which cause those wrinkles. When a person is incapable of frowning because of the Botox induced paralysis, their frown lines will improve with time.

Juvederm, on the other hand, is categorized as a Dermal Filler originating from the group which uses hyaluronic acid, which is also found naturally in human cartilage. Because the human body is familiar with hyaluronic acid, it will not reject it. This helps to replenish wasted subcutaneous tissue that is affected by age, stress, poor nutrition, addictions, and other medical conditions.

We recommend our patients and prospects come in for a consultation where all the different options can be discussed and the best fit determined. Please call us at (888) 302-8747 and we will be happy to schedule an appointment for you.
